Pope Benedict XVI  has declared October 2012 - November 2013 as the Year of Faith.   This October marks the 20th anniversary of the publication of the Catechism of the Catholic Church.  In order to prepare for and celebrate the Year of Faith St. Joseph’s is offering a presentation on an introduction to the Catechism, where it came from and how to use it.

*This is an encore presentation that was given on June 18th

Pope Benedict XVI  has declared October 2012 - November 2013 as the Year of Faith.  This year marks the 20th anniversary of the publication of the Catechism of the Catholic Church.  To participate in this Year of Faith St. Joseph's is offering a series of presentations* entitled: Rediscovering the Catechism.   These presentation occur on the Third Monday of the month at 7pm through to November 2013.  Michael Webster,
Maria Delgado-Braun, Leslie Klinger, and Gary Nelson will be the presenters for these talks.

What should our response be to the Year of Faith?  At this workshop Fr. Mark will share on the lives of the new saints (who will be canonized October 21) which will help us to grow in faith and discover what it means to be good stewards of all that God gives us.  A free continental breakfast is included.  Please RSVP to bmalfavon@stjmod.com or call 209-551-4973 ext. 202.

Fr. Benny is going back to India.  We have been so blessed to have him here at St. Joseph's.  Please join the parish to say farewell and thank you on Saturday, August 25th in Fr. O'Hare Hall after the 5:30pm Vigil Mass.  We will be having a potluck, so please also bring your favorite dish to share.
