The Stations of the Eucharist

The Stations of the Cross are intended to draw those who pray this devotion into an experience of our Lord’s Passion and Death on the Cross. In a similar way, the purpose of the Stations of the Eucharist is to help those who participate to have a deeper experience and greater appreciation of the Mystery of the Eucharist, which is the Source and Summit of the Catholic Faith. The stations display how God through salvation history has prepared the world for the gift of His Beloved Son’s Real Presence in the Most Holy Eucharist. Throughout the Old Testament, the Eucharist was prefigured. And in the New Testament these shadows gave way to reality.
