Sharing our Faith / Evangelization

Finding of the Child Jesus

The Mission of Evangelization:
To Know Jesus Christ Better and Make Him Better Known

Evangelization comes from a Greek word that means "to share the good news".  This is Good News specifically about Jesus Christ.  This is something that every Christian is called to do.

In this section you will find resources and information to live Catholic Stewardship by evangelizing in daily circumstances. For many Catholics this seems like mission impossible, but with just a little help every Catholic can be a great evangelizer and make this a mission possible.

In recent times John Paul II and Benedict XVI have called the entire Church to join the efforts of the New Evangelization.  Will you answer the call?

(Check out "12 Painless Ways to Evangelize" (tract by Catholic Answers) http://www.catholic.com/library/12_ways.asp

As St. Francis of Assisi would say: "Preach the Gospel at all times... and use words when necessary."

Pope Benedict XVI

Pope Benedict XVI's vision for evangelization

"American society has always been marked by a fundamental respect for religion and its public role, and, if polls are to be believed, the American people are deeply religious. But it is not enough to count on this traditional religiosity and go about business as usual, even as its foundations are being slowly undermined. A serious commitment to evangelization cannot prescind from a profound diagnosis of the real challenges the Gospel encounters in contemporary American culture.
